Art of Silmarillion

This is Sauron takeing his wolf shape. When he was lord of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, the Isle of Werewolves.

'Aware of a prophecy to the effect that Huan would be killed by the greatest wolf ever, Sauron himself assumed a monstrous wolf-like form and attacked him.'

But the prophecy actually applied to the still-unborn Carcharoth, and Sauron could not prevail against Huan. Eventually, Huan had Sauron by the throat. Lúthien gave Sauron two options: either surrender to her the magical control he had established over Tol-in-Gaurhoth, or have his body destroyed so that his naked ghost would have to endure the scorn of Morgoth. Sauron yielded, and Huan let him go. Lúthien destroyed the tower and rescued Beren from the dungeons.

Don't think I've ever seen anyone illustrate this part of the scene. He's just a flaming eye in Lord of the Rings, so it was really cool reading how he could change forms in the Silmarillion.

YOU'RE WELCOME X3 You deserve all the praise so no need to thank me further! XD Hah, yeah me and my gf went crazy with drawing those two XDDDD They're just so... aah <3 And I think it's great that everybody imagines Sauron and Melkor differently, I mean it'd be boring to go search for pictures and everyone draws them exactly the same, right? XDDD I probably won't draw a werewolf fullbody, most likely just will sketch portrait for now just to see how scary he can get XD! And then I want to try and draw Annatar Sauron, it might be hilarious XDDD
